    • INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT AUTHORS
In order to standardize the abstract layout please read the preparation guidelines posted in this page.

Abstracts must be submitted by the presenting authors.
Abstracts may only be submitted online.
Please note that faxed abstracts and abstracts not submitted in the proper format will be rejected.
Please note that late abstracts will not be considered.
All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
The submission form will be open until the 11th February.
No headings are allowed. However, please structure your text so that the background, objectives, methods, results and conclusions of the study are easily perceptible.
The main text of the abstract may not be longer than 300 words and may include references (optional).
Keywords and Acknowledgements will have a dedicated area.
The International System of Units (SI) should be used wherever appropriate.

Abstracts will be subject to a peer review by at least 2 members of the Scientific Committee.

Although authors are prompted to mention their preference (poster or oral presentation), the Scientific Committee will be the ultimate responsible for all final decisions regarding presentation format.

Authors are entitled to the early registration fee if registered before April, 8th, 2019.

If you have difficulties in submitting your abstracts or if you need any further information, please contact the DOF2019 secretariat.

      TOPICS
Please select the topic under which you wish to submit your abstract for review by the Scientific Committee:

      2. New and emerging processes: how to convert novel structures into ingredients for delivering functionality
      3. Food design approaches to improving sustainability, reducing environmental damage and reducing food waste
      4. Delivery of functionality via food biodegradable and bio-sourced packaging
      5. In vivo bioefficacy of nutraceuticals, and its improvement by delivery systems
      6. Interactions between delivery systems and the human body (sensory, digestion, release, bioaccessibility, bioavailability, microbiome)
      7. Creating “Super-Humans" or the Personalised Nutrition approach: delivery of bioactives for anti-aging, enhanced sexual performance, mental sharpness and memory, improved strength and athleticism, enhanced sleep
      8. Natural and biomimetic food systems – structures and functionality, from whole natural foods to synthetic foods
